ACT Score Requirements


The information  below that have red, underlined titles have links to information and applications.

 

Listed below are a few colleges and their ACT score requirements.  Please use this as a guide in selecting your colleges and determining your required ACT score.  You may also look up the requirements for any Texas college or university in the Compendium of Texas Colleges in the counselor’s office.

 

As of September 1, 2006, your Senior class enrollment is 111.  This breaks down into the following quarters for class rank:

 

   Top 10 %          =      1 - 11

 

   1st Quarter       =      12 - 28

 

   2nd Quarter      =      29 - 56

 

   3rd Quarter       =      57 - 83

 

   4th Quarter       =      84 - 111

·        If you graduate in the top 10% of your class, you are guaranteed automatic admission to any Texas college or university as long as you meet their admission deadlines.

 

·        If you will not be able to meet these requirements, you should retake the ACT and/or check on provisional admission requirements.  Some schools will admit a certain number of students that do not meet these requirements.  You should check on this right away. (You may need to take some college classes through Frank Phillips College in order to be to be admitted.)
