· Graduating senior in the High Plains Chapter of API area

· Pursue a degree directly related to the petroleum industry (petroleum engineering, geology, geophysics, or mechanical engineering)

Armed Forces Scholarships & Tuition Assistance Programs
Amount: tuition, fees, and books in addition to a monthly supplement for living expenses.
May also be supplemented with free room and board, in-state tuition, and other subsidies.

Requirements:
· Must participate in a high school compensatory education program. A compensatory education program is one that provides remedial assistance and support for students who have failed TAAS in their school career or who are at risk of dropping out of school. Other programs given consideration are for migrant, Title I, Bilingual/ESL, and pregnant or parenting students.

Included are numerous scholarships available only to African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans.
