Useful Links

Listed below are web sites I have found while preparing  or have used in class. I put the links here to help you in the event you need help outside of regular tutorial hours. If you find broken links or know of helpful links I should add, please email me and let me know!

Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University

The OWL website has everything from MLS APA style documentation notes to lessons on grammar, punctuation, and writing styles. I like this site because it is user-friendly and accessible to students and parents.

University Interscholastic League

The UIL website has everything students and parents need for academics, athletics, and fine arts eligibility guidelines and curriculum issues. All of the District alignments are listed here and results from competitions are now posted online at this site.

Absolute Shakespeare

This site has a wealth of knowledge about my favorite subject, William Shakespeare. This site is fairly unique in that it is so precisely defined. Whatever you may need to know about “The Bard,” it is probably listed somewhere on this homepage!

Texas Education Agency

Just in case you think I’m kidding about what the state wants you to learn before you graduate, here is a website that lists all curricular and certification requirements for districts and grade levels in Texas. Additionally, any district information for schools in Texas can be accessed from this website if you can get through the District Locator.

Poetry Archives

Archive of thousands of classical poems and poets. Search for a poem by first line, author, title, or keywords. Also includes discussion forums dedicated to poetry.
